Thoughts on Smoked Brisket

What is brisket? How should it be prepared?


Literally, brisket is the chest of the animal, the lower chest of beef or lamb.


It’s a very tough piece because it supports a lot of the body weight.

In order to tenderize the meat and make it softer to eat it needs a long slow cook.


An easy simple way to do this is by smoking it. You can smoke it yourself or Order Kosher Meat can do it for you.


The amount of time it will take for smoking will depend on the size of the smoker and size of meat.


Once smoked, you’ll want to pour a nice glass of wine and enjoy the flavors of your magnificent smoked cut.
